Sceniq Land Sales Q & A with RPM Managing Director, Clinton Trezise
At our recent open day, celebrating the completion of Sceniq Park and Stage 1 homesites, our journalist caught up with Clinton Trezise, managing director of RPM Queensland, New South Wales.
Clinton has overseen sales in Sceniq since Stage 1 launched some time ago. Given his knowledge of this new community, and his ongoing relationship with many of the Stage 1 buyers who were present at the open day, we put him on the spot for a quick Q & A – asking why he thinks Sceniq has been such a sales success, and also what it is about this new project that has inspired buyers to secure land to build a new home in this new Bilambil Heights address.
Read our Q & A with SKF Development’s Calum Buchanan, who talks about the development of the 100 new properties in Sceniq here.
What has the sales journey been like since launching this new Gold Coast-Tweed land estate?
Well, this has been one of the most popular projects on market for a long time and enquiry has been outstanding.
We’re certainly getting a lot of interest, right through the course of this development. We’re over 75% sold now, and we’re into our final release.
There’s still some opportunity for buyers, you know, we’re obviously encouraging everyone to be quick.

Is Sceniq one of the more in demand projects in the Gold Coast-Tweed land market?
Yeah, it is. I mean, it truly is fantastic setting. Everyone who comes here really just appreciates the beautiful views to the ocean and hinterland. So, you know, it’s pretty rare earth, up here at Sceniq at Bilambil Heights.
That’s why it’s been so popular – land is scarce all over the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales. So, to see an opportunity like this with such beautiful surroundings – that’s why it’s been so popular.
Land has been in high demand in Sceniq – can you tell us how many homesites are remaining from the 100 to be delivered in this new community?
There’s only about 20 lots left, but within that, there’s still some great opportunities to build your dream home here. There’s a lot of different variety of sites. So, depending on what you’re looking for, we’ve still got opportunities for buyers.

Does the recent Federal budget announcement help with a project like Sceniq?
Obviously, it’s right in the wheelhouse by the sounds of it. I think there were some things in the budget that are going to help new home buyers. Owner occupiers including first home buyers and investors are definitely beneficiaries of the new budget. Housing supply has been on the agenda recently and is now a major priority at all levels of government – we’ve received some really positive comments around this new housing supply from Tweed Shire Mayor Chris Cherry who’s here today too. When it comes to places like Sceniq, it’s a really unique offering. So it was going to do well regardless.

Feedback from buyers here today is that the large lot size in Sceniq was appealing to them – some are over 2,000 square metres and there’s even a few larger than that.
Yes, the remaining lots here are all over 670 square metres. You can really make use of that space out in your backyard, as this is such a great place to live, with a great climate and sea breezes from the Pacific Ocean being so close. They are certainly quite large blocks, when you compare to what the average land size is around Queensland and Northern New South Wales now.
So there’s plenty of space for families to build a substantial home and really make it their own.
There’s not much land for sale on the Gold Coast now, are buyers looking to northern New South Wales as a logical next step, being so close to Coolangatta Beach and Gold Coast amenity here on the Tweed?
Yeah, that’s right. You look at land supply on the Gold Coast – there’s less than a month’s supply, in terms of what’s on market at the moment. So, having land available and also under construction, with some lots close to titling and some completed already, it’s a really strong offering to the market.
What’s your final word on Sceniq, now that you’re seeing it come to life, especially with the community activity here today, is it a sign of things to come in the future?
I just like to encourage everyone who hasn’t been up here, to come up for a look because, you know, it truly is pretty special. Anyone who does see it generally gets the bug to buy! You can certainly see the quality that the developers brought here, and I think they’ve really delivered on their promise. And we’ve got the last stage under construction now, you know, it’s really the final opportunities for people to buy in this beautiful estate.
